Fires in the Amazon, fires in Australia, fires in our lungs…
Let’s stop.
Let’s listen.
These stirring times could be a shout, a cry for us to reevaluate our relationship to ourselves, to our loved ones, to other human beings, to all beings, to nature, to everything.
Gates to a biosphere consciousness are opening; to think of alternative ways of living, of structuring economic and governing systems.
Nature is showing us how fast it can start to regenerate if we just give it space.
It is breaking our beliefs around it being almost impossible to shift and recover from the negative impacts we’ve had on the environment and thus, on ourselves.
Let’s allow that space to show us other ways.
Let’s allow this time to dilute the illusion of separation. To eliminate the ridiculous idea of some beings being superior to others.
Let’s allow these days of silence to LISTEN and understand we are all intimately interconnected.
To finally realize that every single thing we do has an effect on some other human being, some other organism and the planet we live in.
“A human being is a part of the whole, called by us, “Universe,” a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest — a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness.
This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.
Nobody is able to achieve this completely, but the striving for such achievement is in itself a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security.”
